Helen "Eileen" Scroggie Orona

Eileen Orona, 74, was greeted at the gates of heaven by her husband, Abel Orona, Sr., and Savior on Friday, December 11, 2020.

Eileen was born on January 3, 1946 in Glasgow, Scotland to the late William and Patricia Ogilvie. A devoted military wife, she traveled all over the world with her beloved husband of fifty-five years. Being born in Scotland, Eileen was known as a feisty little lassie with a strong personality. She was always honest and spoke her mind. Eileen obtained her US citizenship but never lost her love of Scotland, often telling stories to her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted children, Abel Orona, Jr. (April), Patricia Kelly (Richard) and Andrew Orona; grandchildren; Sean Kelly, Amber Orona Smith, Alyssa Orona and Alex Orona; siblings; William Ogilvie (Liz), James Ogilvie and Hazel McCombe (Johnny); aunt, Hazel Davidson and several nieces and nephews.

A private, family only, graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Magnolia Park Cemetery with Father Fred Nijem officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Eileen Orona to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund at 300 South Davis Drive, Building 300, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
