Helen G. Little

On the evening of Wednesday, April 27, 2016, Helen Little made the journey to Heaven to hold hands again with her beloved husband, Verlyn Bennett Little. She was 84 years old.

Helen was born in Griffin, Georgia, the daughter of the late Huel and Fannie Gilbert. She retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base as a housing specialist. After retirement, Mrs. Little enjoyed traveling and devoted her time to volunteering and driving for Meals on Wheels. She often reminisced and told stories to her children and grandchildren of her deep love for Mr. Little and how they loved to dance together when they were younger. She loved her family and friends dearly and they will each hold a special place in their hearts for her.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sonya Dean.

She leaves her memory behind with her loving children, Shay Little (Tammy) of Warner Robins, Mitzi Matthews (Keith) of Macon, and Cara Mock of Sandersville; grandchildren, Ethan Little, Tristan and Chandler Mock, Roxanne Pritchard, Sara Beverly, and Tyler McCowan; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2nd in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Tim Burpee will officiate. Following the service, Mrs. Little will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
