Helen N. "Wanie" Moore

Helen N. "Wanie" Moore passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the age of 81.

Wanie was born on March 24, 1934 in Nashville, Georgia to C. Eston and Merse Bennett Luke. She was married to an Air Force Officer, and really enjoyed traveling and meeting new friends. Friends meant so much to her, and she never met an animal that she did not love. Wanie is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn L., parents, and beloved granny, "Miss Molly."

She is survived by her daughter, Molly Townsend and her husband Jeff; son, Ross Moore and his wife Sarah; and grandchildren, Lee and Katie Townsend, and Luke and Emma Moore.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. in San Antonio, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Helen "Wanie" Moore to The Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or to The Humane Society of your choice.
