Helene Erskine

September 17, 1923 — December 11, 2010

Helene Erskine, 87, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 11, 2010.

Born in Ambillou, France, Helene retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Freight Scheduler after thirty years of loyal service. She was a loving mother, a true friend, and a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her parents, Marcel Painchaux and Maria Robain Painchaux, preceded her in death.

She will forever live in the hearts of her son, Steve Erskine (Linda), Eatonton; sister, Yvonne Avrillon, Cléré Les Pins, France; brother, Marcel Painchaux (Anny), Luxemburg; great grandchildren, Victoria and Matthew Borden; and her longtime friends among the French expatriates in the Middle Georgia area.

There will be a scripture service at McCullough Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monsignor Fred Nijem and Deacon Jim Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted, or the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Lung Association of Georgia, 2452 Spring Road, Smyrna GA 30080.
