Henry C. Johnson, Sr.

Henry C. Johnson, Sr., 72, entered into rest on Sunday, February 2, 2014.

Henry was born on October 26, 1941 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Willie Walker Johnson and Fannie Mae Carroll Williams. He retired from Brown & Williamson where he dedicated many years of employment as a machinist and pipefitter. He was a member of IAM Machinists Union and the Plumber & Pipefitter's Local #472 Union. Henry was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed dirt-track racing, golf and socializing daily with friends at the Waffle House.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty one years, Judy Desmond Johnson, Macon; daughter, Judy Brown (Gary), Irwinton; sons, Henry C. "Hank" Johnson, Jr., Lizella; Leon Johnson (Tammy) Kathleen; Clay Johnson, Perry; brother, Willie Johnson (Virginia), Thomaston; sisters, Shirley Manning, Gray; Sarah Cromer, Centerville; Ruby Long, Clarkesville; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering will be Tuesday, February 4, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be given to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908.
