Hope Jackhelene Dilling

August 4, 1933 — September 23, 2018

Hope Dilling, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Sunday, September 23, 2018.

Hope was born in New York on August 4, 1933 to the late Jack Hyman and Helena Martinek Kimmel. A much-loved teacher of Orthopedic Impaired Children for the Houston County Board of Education. She had a passion for making a difference in the lives of numerous children and did so for over 28 years. Ms. Dilling left an imprint in the minds and hearts of each of her students that they carried from the classroom into their adult lives to cherish forever. In her free time, she loved sewing, reading, watching sports, and cooking for her family, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Hope’s whole life was centered around them.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughters, Kathy Stoner of Perry, Kim Hines (Robin) of Warner Robins, and Karen Suggs (Darren) of Byron; grandchildren, Chris Stoner (Crystal), Matt Stoner, Melissa Kirk (Brad), Ashley Reynolds (Will), Bobby Hines (Rachel), Karlyn Suggs, and Brannen Suggs; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jack, and Easton Stoner, Bryce and Ellie Kirk, and Piper and Jacob Reynolds; and brother, Bob Kimmel of Arizona.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Moon officiating. Hope’s family will visit with friends in the chapel following the service until 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Hope to Compassionate Care Hospice, 305 Smithville Church Road, Suite A/C, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.

McCullough Funeral Home has the privilege of being entrusted with Ms. Dilling’s arrangements.
