Howard Kingston Sisk

January 21, 1949 — April 20, 2022

Howard Kingston Sisk passed away peacefully after battling stage 4 lung cancer on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Howard was the son of the late Grady E. and Norma Lou Hatcher Sisk. As a young child, he moved with his father to upstate South Carolina, in order to be closer to their family. Howard’s uncle, Gordon Sisk, raised him and he was resident of Greenville, South Carolina, for most of his life. Howard worked at the JPS Converter & Industrial Corporation for several years until his retirement. Of the Christian faith, Howard attended a church for the hearing-impaired while in the Greenville area. Just recently, in February of 2022, he moved to Warner Robins for assistance with his declining health. In his spare time, Howard enjoyed cheering for the Atlanta Braves and the Clemson Tigers. He also enjoyed hunting and had aspirations to travel. Howard was an all-around sweet man and will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his sister, Karen Sisk of Warner Robins; cousins, Benny Sisk of Anderson, South Carolina; Kathy Sisk Carr of Cowpens, South Carolina; and Shirley Sisk Hart, Carolyn Sisk Gregory, and Keith Sisk, all of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, South Carolina. Howard with be inurned there.
