Hugh M. Mantooth

Hugh M. Mantooth, 77, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2006. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Mantooth was born on June 30, 1929 in Bradley County, TN. A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Mantooth retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked as an aircraft scheduler. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who truly enjoyed time spent with his family. His parents, Alpheus Lonnie Mantooth and Grace Hayes Mantooth, his brothers, Wayne and Herman Mantooth, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Miriam Mantooth, Kathleen; daughter, Cathye (Donald) Mantooth Wiest, Charleston, SC; sons, Steve Mantooth (Vicky), Sarasota, FL; Tony Mantooth, (Araminta), Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jason Mantooth, Tony Mantooth, Jr., Stephanie Mantooth, Marc Mantooth, Cody Mantooth, Catrina Wiest, Matthew Wiest; great granddaughter, Jessie Mantooth; and siblings, Leonard Mantooth, Howard Mantooth, Gladys Pullen and Virgie Tomey.
