Irby Broussard, 94, entered into rest on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
Irby was born on April 19, 1922 in Vermillion Parrish, Louisiana to the late Alibie and Edith Broussard. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force having participated in World War II and was part of the United States Army Air Corp. A dedicated member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Irby enjoyed gardening, golfing, and fishing. He also volunteered his time completing taxes for senior citizens in Houston County for many years.
His beloved wife, Verna Broussard, brother, Pervis Broussard and parents preceded him in death.
His son, Ronald J. Broussard (Sharon) of Warner Robins, grandson, Joseph Patrick Broussard of Centerville, several brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews, will forever treasure his memory.
A Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at McCullough Funeral Home with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Afterwards, Irby Broussard will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Irby Broussard to American Heart Association, 3312 Northside Drive, Suite 140 A, Macon, Georgia 31210-042.
