Irene A. Hofsash

December 26, 1927 — January 18, 2013

On Friday, January 18, 2013, God took Irene Ann Hofsash to join her loving husband of sixty three years of marriage.

Mrs. Hofsash was born to the late Peter Paul and Anna Catherine (Bujanowski) Chmielewski on December 26, 1927 in Scranton, Pennsylvania and was later raised by Florence Chmielewski after her mother's death. Irene loved traveling with her husband and thoroughly enjoyed her bowling leagues, bingo events and visits to the beauty shop. She was completely devoted to her husband, family and friends. Her exceedingly generous spirit and love of cooking will be forever remembered by her family. Mrs. Hofsash was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph Frank Hofsash, and two brothers, Robert C. Peterson and Edward Chmielewski all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Donna Lee Scott (Harold), Warner Robins and Bonnie Lee Cagle, Greenville, S.C.; two granddaughters, Melissa Graham (Will), Newnan and Noella Scott (Dave), Brooklyn, New York; two grandsons, Joseph Cagle (Andrea) and Matthew Cagle (Hannah) all of Greenville, South Carolina; and seven great grandchildren, Meghan, Rosemary, Conner, Jordan and Ava Graham, Newnan and Katelyn and Emily Cagle, Greenville, South Carolina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Trinity United Methodist with inurnment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. While flowers are appreciated, memorials may be given to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088 or to Trinity United Methodist Church, 129 S. Houston Road, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088.
