Irene Ann Blair

Irene Ann Blair, 42, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20, 2018.

Irene was born on June 4, 1976 in Bethesda, Maryland. She attended school in Germany where she was a proud Wiesbaden Warrior before moving to Perry, Georgia where she graduated from Perry High School. She was a people person who loved spending time with her family and friends. Always desiring to please others, Irene had a big heart and was willing to give you the shirt off her own back. She enjoyed fishing, listening to good music, softball, and sunflowers. However, the greatest joy in her life came from the time that she spent with her children and granddaughter. Irene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring children, Madison Turnham (Nathan) of Kathleen, Justin Purvis of Atlanta, and Lonzie Foskey of Kathleen; her granddaughter, Cali Turnham; her grandson who is still “on the way,” Wyatt Turnham; her parents, Jerry and Gabriele Becker Blair; her sister, Mona Blair; her brothers, Jessie Blair (Donna) and Johnny Blair (Suzettia); and many loving nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

Visitation with Irene’s family will be Friday, August 24, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The memorial service celebrating her life will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be given to a fund benefitting Irene Blair. These funds can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with Irene Blair written in the memo line.
