Iva Mosley Monroe

October 23, 1937 — June 14, 2016

On the morning of Tuesday, June 14, 2016, Iva Monroe was summoned by God to His heavenly home to join her beloved husband, Dilburn Monroe. She was 78 years old.

Iva was born and raised in Lyons, Georgia and graduated with the Lyons High School Class of 1955. After high school, she attended Atlanta Business College for a few years before settling in Warner Robins. Iva retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base as a procurement clerk and enjoyed spending her retirement years with her family and church friends. She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the XYZ's.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Mosley and Lois M. Howell; her children, Wanda Mosley Howell and James Monroe; and her grandchildren, Matthew McBee and Cameron Merritt.

Iva leaves her memory behind with her loving children, Debbie Mosley McBee (Steve) of Warner Robins, Delores Mosley Painter of Ocoee, Florida, Rhonda Mosley Warren (David) of Warner Robins, James Mosley (Connie) of Warner Robins, Gail Monroe Wood (Terry) of Bonaire, Pat Monroe O'Neal (Craig) of Mobile, Alabama, Jerry Monroe (Lisa) of Bonaire, and Sheree Monroe Quattlebaum (Allen) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Mike McBee, James Dunn, Jessie Oswalt, Angie Kilmartin, Jacque Warren, Amanda Bouton, Andrew Howell, Becca Monge, John Mark Howell, Josh Howell, James Mosley, Justin Mosley, Angelica Mosley, Gia Graddy, Miranda Stewart, Reverend Chad Wood, Malie O'Neil, Carley Friman, Calvin Monroe, Olivia Sharber, Emilee Merritt, Madilyn Merritt, and Brandi Scott; a number of great and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde Mosley (Judy) of Lyons; and nieces, Melissa Wiggins and Terin Mosley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation two hours prior to the service. Reverend Mike Slade and Reverend Chad Wood will officiate. Following the service, Mrs. Monroe will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be given in memory of Iva to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 2504 Moody Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
