J. C. Carpenter

April 29, 1919 — February 24, 2010

Kathleen – Jessie "Jesse" "J.C." Carpenter, 90, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Mr. Carpenter was born on April 29, 1919 in Warwick, Georgia. With pride and honor he served in the United States Army during World War II. He was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as an Aircraft Mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith. His parents, John Robert and Jessie Bell Carpenter; his first wife of fifty nine years, Mary J. Carpenter; son, Danny Lamar Carpenter; siblings Arthur Carpenter, Juanita Williamson, Oscar Carpenter and Wyolene Jinks, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife Ada Tarrer Carpenter; children, Gloria Phillips (Ott), Warner Robins; Barbara Hagee, Kathleen; and Jerry Carpenter (Jayme), Bonaire; step-children, David Tarrer (Algia), Mableeton; Tony Tarrer (Linda), Ideal; Ronald Tarrer (Virginia), Oglethorpe; twenty one grandchildren and thirty great-grand children.

Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
