Bonaire – J. "Doc" Dryden, 77, entered into rest on Thursday, February 4, 2010.
Mr. Dryden was born on August 16, 1932, in Oak Park, Georgia. He was a member of Bonaire United Methodist Church. His parents, Ivy Owen Dryden and Dora Williamson Dryden, brothers Francis Dryden, R. J. Dryden, and sister Laceil Howard and all preceded him in death.
Mr. Dryden served during the Korean conflict. He retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base in 1992. Of Mr. Dryden's many hobbies his favorite were Astronomy and coin clubs.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife Betty Lewis Dryden, daughter, Michelle (Sam) Needleman, and precious grandchildren Michael, Ashley and Jared Needleman, all of Bonaire.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 7, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor Jay Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
