Jack Thaxton Daniel, Jr.

Jack Thaxton Daniel, Jr., 63, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 9, 2020.

Jack was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late Jack Thaxton Daniel, Sr. and Eleanor Ebert. He began working with his father at Assemblies, Inc. in 1985; he was Vice President and Production Manager until his father passed in 2006 when he became President. Jack enjoyed working with his hands, being outdoors, cooking and catering events, attending his children’s and grandchildren’s events, going to Disney World, and harvesting honey from bees. He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Centerville and Masonic Tyrian Lodge #111, as well.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Udora Daniel; stepfather, Frank Morales; and brother, Kenny Daniel.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cynthia Daniel of Warner Robins; children, Jack Thaxton Daniel III (Nicole) and Deanna McElheny (Derek), both of Perry, and Athena McElheny (Ryan) and Aaron Daniel, both of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Cassie Ingram (Rob), Madison Daniel, J.T. Daniel IV, Carson McElheny, Addi Daniel, Parker McElheny, Annabelle Daniel, and Cash Daniel; and siblings, Steven Daniel (Kathy) of California, Stephanie Langston (Greg) of Perry, and James Tinney (Shelley) of Douglas.

Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at First Baptist Church Centerville. After the service, Jack will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
