Jacqueliene J. Benton Little

Jacqueliene J. Benton Little, 81, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Jackie was born on November 9, 1932 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Bryant and Catherine Benton. She was owner and operator of Evans Shoe Shop where she became one of the first female repair subcontractors at RAFB. She was also a grocer manager at Big Apple and Family Mart. Jackie was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Warner Robins for over 50 years and a member of the Harmony Sunday School Class. Some of her talents and enjoyments included cooking, gardening, traveling, reading, writing and the Braves baseball games.

She is preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Ruth Benton; and siblings, Jimmy (Nell) and Charlie Benton and Anita Grasser.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Gail (Joe) Mathews of Chesapeake, Virginia, Linda Strong, Eddie Evans and Kathy Godfrey (Vic) all of Warner Robins, Georgia. Grandchildren are Jaye Brewster, Toby Salter, Lawren Salter, Alan Mathews, Shallar Gibbons, Brandy Alford, Sonya and Ashley Godfrey, Meagan and J.J. Strong. She is survived by 7 great-grandchildren.and many loving nieces and nephews. Brothers and sisters are Jerry (Bonnie) Benton, Johnny (Linda) Benton, Josephine (Ray) Morris, Aleta Bingham, Sue (Lynn) Hatcher and Rita (Jim) Mueller.

We are especially grateful to those who provided comfort and care: Visiting Nurses of Cordele and Heart of Georgia Hospice. Jackie had special loving regard for Francis Baker and Sue King from these organizations, respectfully.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or First Baptist Church of Warner Robins, 1135 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
