James Allen Grove

James Allen Grove, 78, entered into rest with his wife by his side on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.

Jim was born on February 13, 1945, in Jefferson, Ohio to the late Elmer and Margaret Grove. Jim attended and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1965 and went on to enlist in the United States Air Force that same year. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was known to have a great faith and knowledge of the scriptures. Jim was like a father figure to so many who knew and loved him. He was a loving father and grandfather, especially to Anthony Cruz and Joey Reason. In his free time, Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing, and his love of cooking.

In addition to his parents, Elmer and Margaret Grove, James was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Grove.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 32 years, Vicki Grove; his children, Michael Webster, Amy Niemi, Jennifer Grove, Tamie Waters, and Shannon Webster; along with 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Afterward, James will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
