James Clayborn Mooring, Sr.

Kathleen, GA – James Mooring, 81, died Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the Houston Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 21 at the McCullough Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Sunday evening at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Mooring was born in Tyronza, Arkansas. He was a retired industrial engineer from civil service at Robins AFB. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army Air Force. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry, Georgia. His parents, John and Amelda Mooring and son, Michael Mooring, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Mooring, Kathleen; sons, Jim Mooring, Nashville, TN, Ron Mooring, Warner Robins, and Robert Mooring, Keystone Heights, FL; daughters, Anna Mooring Pender, Warner Robins, and Risa Mooring Watson, North Little Rock, AR; sister, Bertha Cade, Byhalia, MS; brothers, Sam Mooring, Flint, MI,Tommy Mooring, Tuckerman, AR, and Johnny Mooring, Byhalia, MS; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
