James Jackson Cook

James Jackson Cook, 79, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 10, 2008.

Mr. Cook was born on October 26, 1928 in Pineview. With pride and honor he served in the U. S. Air Force for twenty-six years as a Military Policeman, retiring as a Master Sergeant. A bronze star recipient, he participated in the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Cook was an avid gardener and fisherman. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Mark Cook, and brothers, Earnest Cook and Eugene Cook.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Johanna Charlotte Cook, Bonaire; children, James Mark Cook, Warner Robins, Mary Jane Thomaston, Warrenton, Renate Marie Starr, Rome, Richard Floyd Cook, Woodstock and Danny Calvin Cook, Perry; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and nine of his twelve brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the United Hospice Foundation, 2484 Ingleside Avenue, Building B, Macon GA 31204 or, The Upper Room Fellowship, 3731 Lakeview Dr. Fort Valley GA 31030.
