James “Jim” M. Hopkins passed away at his home on Thursday, November 1, 2018. Born in 1942 in Cuba, Alabama, Jim was the son of the late Monroe C. Hopkins and Annie Deas Hopkins.
Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having attained the rank of A1C. He went on to a career in the electrical supply business and retired in 1999 as a Vice President from Rexel USA. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Bonaire to be with family. Jim was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Crumley, a sister, Clara Anne Radcliffe, and two brothers-in-law, Billy Nester and Guy Howard.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Hazel Lashley Hopkins of Bonaire; siblings, Carylon Nester, Jimmie Hopkins (Estelle), Lester Hopkins (Pat), and Joyce Howard; son-in-law, Reed Crumley; grandchildren, Courtney, Kasey, and Lindsey Crumley; great-grandchild, Raiden Gleaton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held immediately afterwards at 3:15 p.m. at Magnolia Park Cemetery where Mr. Hopkins will be laid to rest.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in memory of Mr. Hopkins to Southside Baptist Church, 1040 S. Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088 or to Hospice Care Options, 306 N. Davis Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31093.
