James "Jimmy" M. Hargrove

On Sunday, May 19, 2019, another angel was called home to rest. James M. Hargrove, 58, joined his loving mom and dad at Heaven’s gate; a great reunion that must have been.

Jimmy was born in Tokyo, Japan on June 21, 1960 to the late Russell Charles and Verlie Mae Edwards Hargrove. He was an electrician with Six Rivers Electrical Contracting in Perry. In his leisure time Jimmy loved watching football, specifically the Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoyed time spent fishing with his buddy, John Wainwright. When his friends and family look back, they will fondly remember how wonderful of a husband, father, and friend Jimmy was. He profoundly cared for his children, grandchildren, and his “fur buddies.”

Jimmy’s loving memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Donna M. Hargrove; daughter, Sommer Hargrove; son, James “Bo” Hargrove; stepchildren, Kristina DeSmith and Donald Phillips; grandchildren, Jaylin, Zay, Sania, Bowen, Trinity, Karson, Kyle, and Bryson; and siblings, Annette Whitworth, Angie Walley, and Russ Hargrove.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Cleghorn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefiting Jimmy Hargrove’s family. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with ‘Jimmy Hargrove Memorial Fund’ written in the memo line.
