James Robert ''Jim'' Lane

James Robert ''Jim'' Lane, 64, entered into rest on Sunday, September 8, 2013.

Jim was born on January 30, 1949 in Gastonia, North Carolina and was of the Baptist faith. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force. He was Vice President of Economic Development at Middle Georgia Technical College. Jim was a strong Christian and cherished all time spent with his family. He was an avid fisherman, precious friend and the ultimate grandfather. Jim's parents, Thomas and Culia Lane, and brother, Alan Lane, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Suzanne Croft Lane; children, James Robert Lane, Jr. (Sara), Jenny Marie Witherington and Whitney Elizabeth Zamudio; sisters, Shirley Flanagan and Betty Griggs; and nine grandchildren, Isaac, Rachel, Eli, Moriah, Alex, Jamie, Max, Aiden and James David.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
