James Roy Rogers

James R. Rogers, 66, died on March 27, 2012.

James was born October 31, 1945, the first of five children to the late Wynona Jones Rogers and Willie Arbie Rogers. His wife, Sandra Lee Williams Rogers, and his sister, Judy Louise Rogers also preceded him in death. James was a native of Warner Robins, attended Northside Baptist Church, a 1966 graduate of Northside High School, and retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a caring, thoughtful and loving person who loved jokes and the people who shared them with him.

He is survived by his sister, Shirley Varner, Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers, Wayne B. Rogers, Warner Robins; and Jimmy A. Rogers (Judy), Byron.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice. The family would like to express their appreciation to the loving and caring staff of Peachbelt Nursing Home and special caregiver and friend, Hazel Colson.
