James Shedrick Farr

James Shedrick Farr, 81, entered into rest on Thursday, February 28, 2013.

Mr. Farr was born on April 14, 1931 in Bonaire, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Wachovia Bank as President of the Loan Department. Mr. Farr was very involved in the community and was in many organizations including: The Chamber of Commerce, the Optimist Club, Planning and Zoning, the Library Board, all of where he was a past President, and he was a Mason and Shriner. His loving wife of fifty-seven years, Mary Lee Farr; parents, William A. and Sarah Davidson Farr; and brothers, William A. Farr, Jr. and Theo Farr, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved children, David Farr (Cheryl), Atlanta; Jim Farr (Kim), Bonaire; Christie Blackwell (Mike), Ellijay; grandchildren, Kimberlee, Jimbo, and Max; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Bonaire Cemetery.
