James William Mullis, Jr.

Our beloved James William Mullis, Jr. left us Thursday evening on April 8, 2021. He was 65 years old. Born in McRae, Georgia on October 21, 1955, he was the son of the late James William Mullis, Sr. and Janet Ray Mullis. James retired from maintenance at Pine Oaks Lodge. In his free time, you would more than likely find him fishing, gardening, or doing something outside. James loved people and relished in being surrounded by family and many friends who loved him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Smith.

Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Mullis; daughter, Jennifer Mullis (Matthew McIntyre); grandchildren, Destiny Mullis and Devin Feest; sisters, Tishie Williams (Keith), Susan Winkler (Archie) and Betty Bryant (Danny); aunts, Carolyn, Bobbie (Troy) and Joyce (Henry); and several adoring nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with Mr. Danny Bryant officiating. James will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
