Jane Tucker Napier

September 25, 1927 — January 5, 2018

On the morning of Friday, January 5, 2018, Jane Napier went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven. She was 90 years old.

Jane was born and raised in Byron, Georgia, the daughter of the late Emmett and Louise Glover Tucker. A retired civil engineer in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, she was a devoted member of First Baptist Centerville. Jane loved playing the piano and organ, cooking, flowers, watching the Atlanta Braves, traveling, going camping, and making trips to Helen. She also enjoyed being a member of the Home Demonstration Club and the Gnat Slappers Camping Club. With all of the interests and hobbies that were close to her heart, spending time with her family was her favorite pastime.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Tucker Napier.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 69 years, Augustus Rentz Napier; children, Eloise Vesper (Phil) and Alma Aaron (Steve); stepdaughter, Dawn Martin (Steve) of Perry; grandchildren, Cindy Martin, Cathy Johnson (Jason), Emily Sanders (Josh), and Amanda Aaron; great-grandchildren, Seth and Stanton Johnson, Clayton, Averi and Brenden Martin, and Ashlynn Sanders.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 7, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Jane will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Happy Hour Service Center, 716 Young Ave., Warner Robins, GA 31093 in memory of Jane Napier.

McCullough Funeral Home has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. Napier’s arrangements.
