Jane Whiting Sovie

Jane Sovie, 85, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

Jane was born on March 15, 1933 in Village of Greenport, Long Island, New York to the late George and Maude Conklin Foster. She was a certified nursing assistant at Fairport Baptist Home for over 27 years. Jane had a servant’s heart was dedicated to helping others. However, her family was her highest priority and time spent with them was her greatest joy.

She was preceded in death by first husband, Kenneth Whiting, Sr., and later her second husband, Bob Sovie, as well as her brothers, George Foster, Donald Foster, Ralph Foster, Roy Foster, and Barton Foster.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Kenneth Whiting, Jr. (Barbara) of Greece, New York, Thomas Whiting (Teresa) of Warner Robins, Paul Whiting (Diane) of Concord, North Carolina; grandchildren, Janelle Whiting, Nathan Whiting (Stephanie), Adam Whiting, Stephen Miller (Ashley), Emily Miller, Brad Whiting, Kevin Whiting; great-grandchildren, Alex Whiting, Benjamin Whiting, Sophie Miller, and brothers, Rod Foster and Arthur Foster (JoAnn).

Jane will be laid to rest in Furnaceville Cemetery in Ontario, New York at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018.
