Janice Elaine Sawyer

Janice Elaine Covington Sawyer, 71, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.

Ms. Sawyer was born on August 11, 1940 in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and was of the Catholic Faith. She was a retired from Flightline Restaurant where she worked as a waitress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Sawyer; parents, Paul J. Covington and Martha T. Neilson Covington; sons, Phillip Nash and Randy Wayne Nash; and sister, Wilma Miller.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Cindy (Tony) Smith, Macon, Anthony (Vickie) Nash, Warner Robins, Chris Thompson, Davenport, Iowa, and Mark Thompson, Mobile, Alabama; brother, Paul (Mary) Covington, Jr., and sister, Joyce England, both of Grand Bay, Alabama; dear friend, Connie (Riley) Jinks, Ideal, Georgia; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088.
