Jennifer Elaine Bufford

May 24, 1962 — March 4, 2020

Jennifer Elaine Bufford, 57, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Born in Tuskegee, Alabama on May 24, 1962, Jennifer was a 1980 graduate of Auburn High School where she enjoyed being a cheerleader. She was a self-described workaholic and truly enjoyed her 20 year career as a scheduling clerk at Women’s Healthcare of Middle Georgia. Jennifer was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2016 and worked up until February 20, 2020; she would go through chemo treatments and then straight to work afterward. Her outgoing spirit and upbeat personality helped her remain joyful through all of the treatments and struggles that came with her cancer. When she was first diagnosed, she asked herself “why me?” Then as time passed, Jennifer asked “why not me?” She used her sickness as her living testimony to show and tell people of how great our God truly is. Jennifer always spoke of God’s light; she was both a miracle and a miracle believer.

She possessed a true heart of gold and loved her family and friends with everything she had. Jennifer was the BEST mother and friend anyone could ask for; she always put her children first. They will always keep countless lessons in love, life, faith, and even money with them; she trained the whole family on how to manage money. For fun, she loved to travel. The beach was her favorite place to be; Daytona was her favorite. Jennifer would go every year, sometimes twice. She also enjoyed being a member of Rose of Sharon Chapter #914 and Order of the Eastern Star for several years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Courtney J. Dunn (Teisha), Terrence “T.J.” Dunn (Libby), and Ericka D. Dunn; granddaughter, Deniyah Johnson; mother, Geraldine D. Bufford; father, John E. Bufford; brother, Jeffrey E. Bufford; mother-in-law, Estella Dunn; aunts and uncles, Jacqueline Williams, Diane D. Walker. Cassandra Bufford, Lettye Bufford, Lueweeta Oliver, Dorothy Bufford, and John Bufford (Demara); best friend/sister, Violet W. Henderson (Freddie); goddaughters, Dominica J. Mclendon and Tasia Guerin; and granddog, Chloe.
