Jessie Anderson Averyt

Jessie Anderson Averyt, 92, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.

Mrs. Averyt was born on September 2, 1916, in Mobile, Alabama. She moved to Georgia in 1965 where she was a homemaker and a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church. Co-founder and member of The Middle Georgia Crochet Club, her many contributions were recognized in a number of the Club's accomplishments being named in her honor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde K. Averyt, Sr., and parents, David Carl Anderson and Beatrice Montague Anderson.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sons Captain Ken Averyt, Jr. (Lora), Fitzgerald and Dave Averyt (Peggy), Grayson; daughter, Michelle Medley, Warner Robins; and grandchild Erin Averyt.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 23, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home and will immediately be followed by a funeral service at 8:00 p.m. An additional service and internment will be held in Mobile, Alabama on Monday May 25, 2009.
