Joann Weber

August 8, 1934 — September 18, 2018

On the morning of Tuesday, September 18, 2018, Mary Joann (Veley) Weber, 84, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

Mrs. Weber was born on August 8, 1934, in Stillwater, Ohio to the late Archie C. and Mary Blind Veley. She graduated from Elkhart University in Elkhart, Indiana with a Dental Assistant certificate. She was employed by Dr. John Marstrell in Ohio and Dr. Fuller and Dr. Shaver in Warner Robins, Georgia. She and her husband relocated to Warner Robins, Georgia in 1979 where she established a home for her family. Her love for yard work was shown through her beautiful rose garden. When she could not work in the yard, she enjoyed reading, cooking, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves. She was proud of the fact that she had read every single edition of Reader’s Digest Condensed Books from 1950 through 2016. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she devoted her life to caring for her family. Nothing brought her more joy than having the family home to celebrate holidays together. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Port Washington, Ohio.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband of sixty four years, Harold Paul Weber; her children, Richard A. Weber (Cathy) of Houston, Texas, Steven S. Weber (Beth) of Macon, Georgia, Julie L. Auburn of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Deena K. Weber of Naples, Florida; her grandchildren, Scott Weber, Jay Weber, Paul Weber, Robert Weber, and Andrew Auburn; her great-grandchildren, Daniel Weber, Jacob Weber, Kaylee Weber, and Aiden Weber; her brother, F. Dale Veley of Port Washington, Ohio; her sister, Karen Ruth Combs of Boca Raton, Florida; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Visitation with Mrs. Weber’s family will be Friday, September 21, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Port Washington, Ohio with the Reverend Robert Buckley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church before and after the service. Following the service, Mrs. Weber will be laid to rest in Salem Union Cemetery in Port Washington, Ohio. Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Weber to the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 114 N. High Street, Port Washington, Ohio 43837.
