John Anthony Cardone, Sr., 80, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 26, 2008.
Mr. Cardone was born on July 12, 1927 in Bound Brook, New Jersey. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Army, having fought in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Mr. Cardone was a member of the Vietnam Veterans and the American Legion. He was of the Catholic faith. His wife, Bertie Cardone, parents, Anthony J. and Catherine Cardone, and brothers, Joe, Carmen, Jerry and Daniel Cardone preceded him in death.
Family includes his children, Brenda Walker (Bruce), Perry, Mary Siets (Bill), Ludowici, Georgia, and John A Cardone, Jr. (Kathy), Clayton, Alabama; Clayton, Alabama; grandchilren, Gregory and Gary Walker, William Siets, Carolyn Staudt, Sara Wildin, Christa and Jordon Cardone and John Mathew; six great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa O'Donnell (Joe), Oak Creek, Wisconsin;
Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Andrew United Methodist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 789, P.O. Box 1679, Hinesville, Georgia, 31310.
