John "Jerry" Broxton

Jerry Broxton, 73, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 9, 2013.

Jerry was born on August 12, 1940 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was a graduate of Warner Robins High School and attended Georgia Tech. Jerry owned and operated Broxton and Associates Land Surveying Company and was a Life Member of the Surveying and Mapping Society of Georgia. Active in his community, he served as a former City Council Member, former County Commissioner, and was a member of the Warner Robins Jaycee's and Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce. Jerry also volunteered as a Warner Robins Little League coach and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He was a man of strong Baptist faith and a much-loved member of Oakland Baptist Church. Jerry's wife, Carol Sanders Broxton; and parents, Clifford Lee and Georgia Crossley Broxton, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Beth Broxton Greene (Winfeld); Cliff Broxton (Leslie); and five wonderful grandchildren, Caroline, Catherine, and Christopher Greene, and Gehrig and Sydney Broxton, all of Warner Robins.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Oakland Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be given to Oakland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1509 Russell Pkwy, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
