John R. Wortman, 77, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at his residence. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 29 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, 303 Mary Lane, Warner Robins, 31088.
Mr. Wortman was born in Clarksville, PA. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army Air Corp, and he was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He served as a Scout Master for many years. Mr. Wortman also served as an Elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he was a member.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Wortman; daughter, Jan W. Mohler, Kathleen; son, Charles Wortman, Maryville, TN; sister, Ida Haftmann, Clarksville, PA; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
