December 11, 1970 — August 13, 2022

John Shannon Watson of Fort Valley, Georgia, peacefully passed away on August 13, 2022, after an extended illness.

Born in Union City, Tennessee, Shannon was the son of Nancy Johnstone Green and the late John L. Watson. He will be truly missed by all who were blessed enough to have known him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 11 years, Christy Ann Watson; children, Julia Kathleen and Elizabeth Joy Watson; stepchildren, Alexander Gilana, James Michael and Lauren Ashley Young; grandchildren, Sophia Grace Serna and John William Watson; mother and stepfather, Nancy Johnstone and Jackie Carl Green; stepmother, Sheila Watson; siblings, Jolynn Hoogstad, Denise Flowers, Joe Watson, Donna Buescher, and Johnny Battle; beloved nieces and nephews, Kennedi Husar, Reese Husar, Kameron Richardson, and Peyton Flowers; as well as several extended family members and friends.
