John William Anagnost

John Anagnost, 81, entered into rest on Saturday, February 1, 2020.

John was born on March 23, 1938 in Maynard, Ohio to the late Thomas and Ruth Ann Anagnost. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army prior to opening his own business. A resident of middle Georgia since 1983, John enjoyed golfing, telling jokes and collecting trinkets. His greatest achievement was his beloved family.

His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 60 years, Bernice Anagnost; children, John Anagnost (Cathy) of North Dakota, Mark Anagnost of Warner Robins, Mary Land (Michael) of Bonaire, Ruth Carter of Byron, George Anagnost of Warner Robins, Homer Anagnost (Haley) of Warner Robins, Jim Anagnost (Cheryl) of Wisconsin, Ethel Hill (Rusty) of Twiggs County, Anthony Anagnost of Warner Robins and Matt Anagnost (Pam) of Warner Robins; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and sisters; Mary Fox of Florida and Ethel Kloumasis of Ohio.

At the family’s request, all services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of John Anagnost to the donor’s favorite charity.
