Johnnie Lareace Schultz

April 3, 1934 — December 1, 2022

Early on the morning of Thursday, December 1, 2022, Johnnie LaReace Powell Schultz, 88, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

Mrs. Schultz was born on April 3, 1934, in Fort Meade, Florida to the late John L. and Lillian Watson Powell. She possessed a dry sense of humor and was never one to beat around the bush. You always knew where you stood with her. She had somewhat of a sweet tooth and could often be found enjoying a meal at Ole Times Buffet. She enjoyed traveling and was always delighted when her trips carried her to the beach or to a lighthouse. In her spare time, she could usually be found playing solitaire or surfing through Facebook. She also had a fondness for watching birds—especially cardinals and hummingbirds. Of the Baptist faith, she attended Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Frederick Lee Schultz; her sister, Eleanor May; and her brother-in-law, Jim Douglas.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Frederick Steven Schultz (Deanna); her grandchildren, Austin Lee Schultz and Brandon Charles Schultz; her sisters, Edwina Douglas and Lillian Windham (Alvie); and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Visitation with Mrs. Schultz’s family will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Mrs. Schultz will be laid to rest with her husband at Andersonville National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Johnnie Schultz to the American Cancer Society (www.donate3.cancer.org), American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or Central Baptist Church, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088
