Johnny Allen Turner, 69, entered into rest on Sunday, February 6, 2011.

Mr. Turner was born on January 8, 1942 in Waldo, Florida. With pride and honor he served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Sierra during the Cuban missile crisis. Mr. Turner was a carpenter and worked for Chris R. Sheardin-Williams Associates. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Wade; parents, Henry Thomas Turner and Gladys Ion Turner; brother, Melvin Thomas Turner.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving daughters, Tammy Sue Moroney (Robert McGuire), Warner Robins, Mary Gwendolyn Reeves (Mickey), Kathleen; grandchildren; Daniel Moroney, Christopher Moroney, Mandolyn Reeves, Clayton Reeves; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Maggie Claire Ward, Ideal, Rose Hall, Unadilla, Kathleen Smith (Tommy), Ellaville, Nellie Harth (Ray), Hawkinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Andersonville National Cemetery.
