Jonathan Arthur Duffield

Jonathan Arthur Duffield, 26, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 2, 2020.

Jonathan was born in Macon, Georgia, on April 15, 1994, to Steve and Janet Duffield. He graduated from Dayton Christian High School in Miamisburg, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati. Jonathan proudly served his country for six years in the United States Air Force Reserves as a firefighter. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Green Bay Packers and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Calvin Rushing; and maternal grandfather, John D. Brewer, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Steve and Janet Duffield of Prattville, Alabama; brothers, Chip Duffield (Lesley) of Huntsville, Alabama, Nathan Duffield (Kittery) of Bonaire, and Samuel Duffield of Prattville, Alabama; paternal grandmother, Ann Rushing of Claxton, Georgia; maternal grandmother, Carol Brewer of Kathleen; two nieces, aunts and uncles.

Regarding services for Mr. Duffield: while restrictions have loosened some, measures must still be taken for the well-being and safety of the community, the families being served, and the funeral home staff. McCullough Funeral Home feels a strong responsibility to play our part in keeping everyone safe during these unprecedented times. As a result, friends of Jonathan will be able to drop in for viewing and to pay respects at the funeral home on Friday, May 8, 2020, between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. During this time and for the safety of everyone in attendance, social distance measures will be enforced. Guests will be guided to remain 6 feet apart, masks are strongly encouraged, and hand-shaking and touching is discouraged. A graveside service will be held in Magnolia Park Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
