Joseph E. "Ed" Mullis, Jr.

Joseph E. “Ed” Mullis, Jr. passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 while under the care of Heart of Georgia Hospice. He was 53.

Born in Orlando, Florida on January 16, 1965, Ed grew up in Warner Robins, Georgia and graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1984. He began working as a disc jockey and used the alias, “Brian Kelly aka Raw Dawg” for Q106, among many other stations in the middle Georgia area. Ed then started truck driving with the family business, Millis Trucking, where he worked for 18 years. He excelled in the business and earned the Safe Driving Award every year that he worked with them. Ed also served as the safety trainer for the company. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn “Lil Bit” Mullis; and sister, Angela Dawn Bivins.

Ed’s memory will forever be treasured by his loving father, Edward Mullis of Kathleen; brothers, Dennis Wayne Mullis (John Woodham) and Jason Lee Mullis (Darlene), both of Warner Robins; sister, Reessey Karznar (Rick) of Coolidge, Georgia; Lulu “Cuz”; a host of adoring nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends; and fiancé, Steen Harris.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Mr. Mullis to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
