Joseph Keith Dupree

June 28, 1967 — August 19, 2021

Doting grandfather and family man, Technical Sergeant (TSgt) Joseph Keith Dupree, USAF (Ret.) passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. He was 54 years old.

Born on June 28, 1967, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Joseph was the son of the late Alice Dupree and William Holmes. He was a graduate of Vidalia High School and proudly joined the United States Air Force shortly after graduating. Some of the awards he received were the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Ribbon Long and Short, Air Force Longevity Service, USAF NCO PME Graduate Ribbon and the Air Force Basic Training Ribbon. For most of his career, Joseph was an electrical power production craftsman. Following his service to his country, Joseph continued to work for the government in civil service as a Power Production Technician at Robins Air Force Base.

Joseph was a generous, kind, and thoughtful soul who would give the shirt off of his back for a stranger. He loved sports but really enjoyed spending time fishing. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren and spent time with them whenever he got the chance. An outspoken person, Joseph didn’t mince words and told it like it was, especially on topics about which he was passionate.

In addition to his mother, Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy Lee Dupree and Serena Tillman as well as a son, Daniel Joseph Dupree.

Left to treasure his memory are sons, Raymond Dupree (Amber) and Chris Wall (Ashley); grandchildren, Destiny, Hailey, and Aiden Dupree, Lilyan Danielle Dupree-Steele, Liam and Jamie Wall; brothers, Mark Anthony Dupree (Carina) and Marvin Eugene Dupree; sister, Renee Dupree; aunts and uncles, Flora McRae, Cofronia Adams (Willie), James Dupree, Tony Dupree, Jimmy Lee Dupree Jr., step brothers and sisters to include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
