Joseph Paul Pecjak

Joseph Paul Pecjak, 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at his residence in Florida.

Born in Greensboro, Pennsylvania, on July 21, 1942, Joseph was the son of the late John Pecjak, Jr. and Martha Jane Grim Pecjak. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force, worked on Robins Air Force Base as a fiber optics supervisor, and retired from Ground Electronics Engineering Installation Agency (GEEIA/1839) as a squad leader on Keesler Air Force Base in civil service. Upon retirement, Joseph enjoyed his golden years woodworking, landscaping his yard, fishing, racing, collecting antique cars, and grilling at cookouts with his friends, co-workers, and family members. Above all, he enjoyed spending most of his time with his sweet fur-baby and love of his life, “Lil’ Bit.”

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter, Bobbi Jo Pecjak; siblings, Sonny Pecjak, Martie Johnson, Marylee Lemaster, and Jane Haine; and brother-in-law, Ray St. John.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Patti Hawkins (Kenney) of Stockbridge, Kim Mosley (Todd) of Florida, and Heather Pecjak (Alexis) of Kentucky; grandchildren, Brittany Waldhour (Jake), Cassie Senterfitt (Jake), all of Florida, and Olivia Hawkins (Kevin) of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Joslynn, Josiah, Mason, and Kymbrie Waldhour; siblings, Duane Pecjak of Pennsylvania, Frank Pecjak, and Judy Dean, all of West Virginia; companion of 10 years, Rhonda Duncan; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

A memorial graveside service celebrating Joseph’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Magnolia Park Cemetery, his nephew, Scott Fogarty will officiate.
