Joseph Quitman Hammett

Joseph Quitman Hammett, age 35, of Warner Robins, Georgia passed away surrounded by family on Sunday evening March 4, 2018. He was born on August 1,1982 in Columbia, South Carolina.

Joseph was a graduate of Perry High School and Middle Georgia College with degrees in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Aviation Logistics Management. He was employed by International City Builders (ICB) of Macon, Georgia as a Project Manager. Joseph was a competent hands on person and could fix almost anything that was broken. He was a member of CenterPoint Church, WR and Antler Spur Hunting Club, LLC. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his beloved family. Joseph’s love for his family, his kind heart, laughter, and smile will be greatly missed by his family.

He is survived by wife, Kristin Elizabeth Hammett; sons, Payton David Hammett and Tucker Quitman Hammett; mother, Laurie Clotfelter; step-father, Kevin Clotfelter; father, Richard Joiner Hammett; step-mother, Kim Hammett; brothers, Adam Joiner Hammett (Jennifer Kate) and John Henry Hammett; grandfather, Donald Quitman Mathias, and uncle, Roger Hammett. Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy Jean Mathias, D.J. and Geraldine Hammett, as well as John and Sandra Clotfelter.

Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday March 7, 2018 at McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins, Georgia. A memorial service to celebrate Joseph’s life will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
