Joyce Mable Harris

Joyce Mable Harris was reunited with her beloved husband, TSgt. Kenneth Harris, USAF (Ret.) in Heaven on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was 83 years old at the time of her passing.

Born in North Adams, Massachusetts, on March 7, 1937, Joyce was the daughter of the late Lionel and Mary Burnett. With a heart for serving others, Joyce worked tirelessly at the Meadowdale Learning Center where she invested herself in the lives of many children. A faithful servant of her Lord Jesus Christ, Joyce also taught the Daisy Program at the Assembly of God church for over 20 years and sang in the choir. She had a passion for visiting with the elderly and people with disabilities who could not often leave their homes. In her later years, Joyce became a devoted member of Bonaire First Baptist Church. Although Joyce will be deeply missed by her family and friends, her soul and spirit will forever live on.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, TSgt. Kenneth Harris, USAF (Ret.); and sister, Claire Johnson.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her children, Larry Harris of Quitman; David Harris of Warner Robins; and sister, Joan Obe of Suffern, New York.

Visitation will be held at Bonaire First Baptist Church on Monday, November 30, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. Joyce’s son, David Harris will be officiating. Afterward, Joyce Mable Harris will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Joyce Mable Harris to Bonaire First Baptist Church Building Fund, 142 West Georgia Highway 96, Bonaire, Georgia 31005.
