Juanice Helms Luther

On the evening of Sunday, November 4, 2018, Juanice Luther, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born in Wilcox County, Georgia on March 10, 1934, Juanice was the lovely daughter of the late Henry and Eugenia Helms. She married Fred, her high school sweetheart in 1951 and together they moved to Warner Robins for his career at Robins Air Force Base. Juanice happily settled into her career of being a faithful wife, loving mother, and wonderful homemaker in the Luther household.

A devout Christian woman, she was a longtime member of Evergreen Baptist Church and Faith Assembly in Warner Robins, and most recently Oasis Community Church in Byron. Juanice was also a member of Women’s Aglow Fellowship. She was greatly loved and adored by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Juanice will always be remembered for her sweet, gentle, loving, accepting, and forgiving spirit.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Hazel Gordon and Arnold Helms; and son-in-law, Terry Hatley.

Juanice’s memory will forever be treasured by her devoted husband of 67 years, Fred Luther, Sr. and children, Deborah Hatley, Fred Luther, Jr., Donna Mercer (Barry), and Ken Luther (Kathryn), all of Warner Robins; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Pauline Lovett of Dawson, Georgia.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Luther officiating. After the service, Juanice will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Juanice to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
