Juanita Griffin

Juanita Griffin, 81, entered into rest on Thursday, March 13, 2008.

Mrs. Griffin was born on June 25, 1926 in Union Springs, Alabama. She lived most of her life in Houston County, and was a graduate of Bonaire High School with the honor of Valedictorian from a class of seven. She was a homemaker. Central Baptist Church was her church home, and she was a member of the SonRise Singles III Sunday School Class. She was also a charter member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and crocheting. Her husband, William H. Griffin, son, Robert Jerry Griffin, Sr., parents, Elijah and Florence Roberts, preceded her in death.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by her daughter, Phyllis Martin, Warner Robins; son, Doug "Kornbread" Griffin (Melanie), Warner Robins; grandchildren, Chad Griffin (Adrienne), Dusty and Casey Griffin, Rob Griffin (Kerri), and Jeff Griffin; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Gavin Griffin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2008 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Heart of Georgia Hospice care of Serenity Gate, 103 West Ridge, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
