Judith Selby Van Zante

May 9, 1938 — August 18, 2021

Judith Selby Van Zante, 83, found peace on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in Warner Robins, GA. She was born on May 9, 1938, to Ethelind and F. Allan Walker in Hyannis, MA.

Judy married Thomas James Selby in 1956 and had five children: Dennis, Douglas, Denise, David and Debra. As the wife of an Air Force NCO, she spent time in several states, settling in Warner Robins, GA, where the children all finished high school. After Thomas died in 1997, Judy met Robert “Bob” Herman Van Zante and began traveling the United States by RV. In 2005, they became residents of Summerdale, AL, and married in their 49th state visited, Alaska, in 2009.

Being active with several RV clubs, including Good Sams and Escapees, Judy and Bob were constantly exploring this great country and meeting new friends. They spent seven wonderful years together living, loving and pursuing adventure until Bob’s passing in 2016.

In addition to her first and second husbands and her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, James Walker; and her grandson, John.

In addition to her children, Judy is survived by her loving grandchildren, Monica, Jennifer, Ben, Bryan, Jessica, Nicole, Megan, Amanda, Victoria and Rachel; 16 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
