Judy G. Watson

August 1, 1951 — September 9, 2023

On the morning of Saturday, September 9, 2023, Judy G. Watson, 72, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

Judy was born on August 1, 1951, in Marietta, Georgia to the late Lawrence and Nell Tallent. She grew up in Florida and worked at Sun Coast Bank throughout high school. Following graduation, she continued working as a teller for several years before working as an Avon Representative and then for ICI America. After meeting her beloved husband, Jessie, they started JJ & S Transport and grew it into a fruitful business where she wore many hats, such as Vice President, bookkeeper, and dispatcher. Judy loved her church and listening to gospel music. She enjoyed working in her garden and fishing with her husband. Judy had a special place in her heart for her pets, Susy, Carrie, and Taffy. She enjoyed collecting old coins and was known for keeping various items for the day you might need them. Judy donated to the Australian Shepherd Advocates and would knit baby blankets for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Her family was most important in her life, and she always put them first. Judy was always attentive to the needs of her family and would shine with pride and joy when she was with them. She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Jessie Watson.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Robert Farlett, Shelah Farlett (Shaun) and Jessica Watson (Tim Russell), all of Byron; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and siblings, Betty Eyster (Hank), Linda Brinkerhoff (Ron), and Nancy Vice (Jeff)
