June M. Sutherlin

On the afternoon of Sunday, October 7, 2018, June M. Sutherlin, held hands again with her beloved husband, Milton in heaven. She was 85.

June was born in Axton, Virginia on the 23rd of April 1933 to the late Clive Stultz and Lucille Holland Motley. She retired from 20 years as the school secretary of Centerville Elementary School where she so loved all of the children she met in her career. In her free time, June loved nature and bird watching, cardinals were her favorite. She was also a loyal and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Centerville, enjoyed reading the Bible, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Calvin Motley.

June’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Cecilia Sutherlin of Warner Robins, Milton G. Sutherlin (Beverly) of Hawkinsville, and Cynthia Ann Sutherlin of Warner Robins; brother, Leonard Frances Motley (Fern) of Axton, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of June to Centerville Baptist Church, 108 Church St., Centerville, GA 31028 or Kindred Hospice, 319 Margie Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Centerville. A funeral service celebrating June’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Don Feezor officiating. June will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at Centerville Cemetery.
