Karen Paulk

April 28, 1943 — June 11, 2021

Karen Paulk, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at the age of 78.

Born in Detroit, Michigan on April 28, 1943, Karen was the daughter of the late Michael Ludwig, Jr. and Margaret Bonnie Ludwig. She grew up in Algonac, Michigan and later moved to Florida, where she met the true love of her life, Terry Paulk. When the couple wed in 1964, Karen was delighted to take on the role of “devoted military wife” and supported her husband throughout his career. Following Terry’s military retirement, they moved to Georgia where Karen worked in the insurance business. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling in their RV and was a member of the camping/RV organization, Coast to Coast. She also liked gardening and swimming; the ocean and the Sierra Nevada Mountains were the places she was the happiest.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Ziehardt.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Terry Paulk of Warner Robins; her son, Peter Paulk (Stacey) of Meansville; and her grandson, Easton.

At the family’s request, all services will be private.
